Sometimes you just want a great cup of coffee without having to think about time, temperature, and other variables. Which is why the Ratio 6 has been designed with just one button and no complicated programming.
After the button is pressed, Ratio simulates a skilled barista pour over process: First, a controlled dose of hot water is dispersed through a stainless steel spiral showerhead across the grounds, causing a bubbly interaction called a “bloom.” The control board allows the bloom to settle before delivering the rest of the hot water slowly near the ideal temperature (94ºC). The result? More evenly extracted grounds and a more amazing cup of coffee.
The Ratio 6 is designed with longevity in mind, with a precision formed stainless steel body, laboratory grade hand blown borosilicate glass water lines, and a high end BPA-free copolymer water tank. Every inch is built to last and covered by a 5-year warranty.
Optimized shower head:
The Ratio 6 utilises a stainless steel spiral showerhead with a wider water dispersion than other brewers on the market. Each hole in the shower head is precisely placed to maximise saturation of the coffee, leading to the best possible flavour.
Flexible brewing:
The Ratio 6 comes with a thermal carafe designed for flat-bottom basket coffee filters. Prefer a conical filter? You can also use the Ratio Glass Carafe with a Chemex paper filter or stainless steel reusable Able Kone. Both the thermal carafe and the glass carafe have the same brewing capacity: 1.25L.
**note: the Ratio thermal and glass carafes have a built in magnet on the base as an automatic shut off mechanism in the event that the carafe is removed or knocked over during brewing. A cool hack we've found would be to use a magnetic plate or strips, which would allow you to put any filter brewer under it; i.e. use the Ratio 6 brewer with your own Chemex or V60 set up!
