C4 Brewing Tips for Plungers.

C4 is passionate about coffee, and we understand that there is more than one way to roast it - and make it! We encourage the responsible use of a plunger and suggest perhaps something like our beautiful Stout blend or one of the many single origins that we offer.

To make a superlative cup you will require:

Plunger/French press.

Coarse ground coffee, ie, Stout.

Boiled water (but not too hot!).

1: Preheat your Plunger with hot water then empty.

2: Place fresh ground coffee into the empty plunger. We suggest a coarse grind. Add approximately 1 Tbsp per cup of water.

3: Boil water and allow to stand for a minute or two to cool slightly. Never pour boiling water over fresh coffee as it can destroy the delicate flavours.

4: Gently pour some water onto the ground coffee. Try to wet all the grinds if you can. Allow this to sit for 30 sec to allow the coffee to bloom.

5: Add the remaining water and stir 3 times.

6: Let stand for 2-3 minutes, and then gently plunge.

7: Do not allow to sit and stew. Empty the contents into cups... and of course, enjoy!

C4 Coffee offers a wide range of coffee making equipment, coffee accessories and of course our famous coffee blends. We are also happy to present a variety of carefully selected single origins - perfect for plungers and pour overs - batch roasted to perfection, for your enjoyment.
